PTF Class Descriptions




RESIDENCY: Appropriate for dancers 15+ who are at an advanced or pre-professional level. The residency courses are progressive and build upon material learned cumulatively. Classes will include advanced content and deep discussion as well as improvisation.  Expect to work hard and work through intense choreography. Residency 1 is taught by Sarah Reich and will focus on exploring individuality as a tap dancer.  Residency 2 is taught by Ayodele Casel and further details will be released soon.  These are first come, first served.  They will fill up quickly, so register soon!

ADV:   Appropriate for dancers 13+ with 7-8 years tap training and advanced technique.   Expect challenges, some breakdown of steps, and a fast paced class!

INT/ADV: Appropriate for dancers 11+ with 5-6 years of tap training and intermediate to advanced techniques.  Expect some challenges, breakdown of steps, and a quick pace.

INT: Appropriate for dancers 9+ years with at least 4 years of tap training.  Faculty will provide solid breakdown of steps and repetition while still offering challenges to the students.

FAST BEG ADULTS: 25 years and up!  Be prepared to have a great time while exploring technique, rhythm, combos, and more!

TAPPY HOUR: 21 and over!  Enjoy a Class and Get a Glass!  BYOW

SHOWCASE: There is a limited amount of space to perform in the showcase Saturday, January 6th!  If interested in performing, please submit a Youtube link to   Submission deadline is December 20th.  

TAP JAM: All are welcome and it is free!  Explore timing and improvisation in a safe and sharing environment.  

PANEL Q/A: Have lunch with the faculty of both the Phoenix Tap Fest AND Just West of Broadway!  Listen to their stories and ask questions in a friendly environment!

TAP 24.7 AUDITION:  Jump at the chance to audition for Tap 24.7's annual show!  This audition class meets Jan 7th from 3-4:30!  #TAPspeak
